TimeClockWindow Administrator Tools

Error: The operating system is not presently configured to run this application.

If you get this error message: The operating system is not presently configured to run this application.  You will need to install the Microsoft Access Database Engine Runtime on your computer.
In the past this came with every Windows computer. On September 14, 2020 changes to Microsoft Office 365 broke software that utilized the Microsoft Access Databases requiring the above mentioned runtime to be installed.
There are two versions of this tool, one for 32 bit computers and one for 64 bit computers. We have them linked here:.
Download and save the version for your computer (64-bit or 32-bit) and save it to the root directory of your C: drive.
NOTE: Since we've never been able to test this as it never failed on any of our computers, a user reported the following: "I installed the 64 bit library on my 64 bit computer and it did not work. What got it working was I installed the 32bit accessdatabaseengine, Even though the computer is 64bit. I guess it depends on the program? if it's 64 or 32?
Then press the Windows Key plus the R Key to open the run command.
Our example below is using the 64 bit filename that you saved to the root of your C: drive.
Type c:\accessdatabaseengine_X64.exe /quiet in the Open: box. Note there is a space between X64 and the forward slash. Then click OK to install the runtime library.
You can verify that it was installed by going to the Control Panel and open the App to uninstall a Program. #1. Click on the "Installed on" Column Label to sort by date installed and the see #2 in my example below that it was installed.
